Ultrasonic Metal Welding Machine
An ultrasonic metal welding machine is a solid‑state welding device that joins metals using high‑frequency mechanical vibration (typically 20–40 kHz) and clamping force — no melting, no filler, no flux.
Working Principle
Generator: Converts 50/60 Hz mains into 20–40 kHz high‑frequency electrical energy.
Transducer: Uses piezoelectric ceramics to turn electrical energy into micro‑amplitude mechanical vibration (10–50 μm).
Booster & Sonotrode (Horn): Amplifies vibration and transmits it to the workpiece.
Welding Process:
Workpieces are clamped under constant pressure.
High‑frequency shear vibration scrubs the contact surface, breaking oxides/contaminants.
Clean metal surfaces bond via atomic diffusion at temperatures well below melting point (usually <50% of melting temp).
